Sports Day

Sports Day will take place tomorrow in our year group bubbles and we are delighted to invite parents to attend! We will be having an Olympic-themed sports day and each class has drawn a colour (from the Olympic rings) to wear – PLEASE DO NOT WORRY this is only a small token, they can come to school in their sports kit with a coloured t-shirt perhaps or a pair of coloured socks or even a hair bobble – please read on to find out your child’s class colour…

If we could ask:

  • no more than two family members to attend
  • please hand gel on entry
  • face coverings are encouraged
  • that you try, where possible, to stay in your family bubble.

The sports days will take place at the following times:

Nursery: 9.00 – 9.30am morning, 2.45 – 3.15pm afternoon
Children can wear any colour from the Olympic rings – blue, yellow, green, red, black.

Reception: 9.30 – 10.30am
Koalas and Zebras – Yellow

Year 2: 1.30 – 2.30pm
Lions – Blue, Tigers – Red

Year 1: sports day will be virtual.

The top gate will be opened 10-minutes before the event for entry and exit will be at the car park gate (to avoid congestion) except Nursery who will use the rear field entering through the nursery and leaving through the car park. We ask politely that at the end of the sports day you blow your child a kiss and give them a wave as you leave, this will hopefully prevent any upset.

Please remember your child’s hat, apply sun cream before school and make sure they have their water bottle.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a lovely summer break which you will hopefully enjoy. School will re-open on Wednesday 8th September. As restrictions lift we will review the entrance procedure and contact you by text once these are confirmed.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Danielle Edwards
Headteacher.
